Class 1 railroads employ state of the art technology to allow IMCs & shippers to have real-time access to critical data about their shipments/the movement of their shipments

Class 1 railroad intermodal transit times have dramatically improved in the past few years to the point where they rival OTR delivery times

Escalating fuel costs, vehicle pollution, chronic interstate and local road congestion, a shrinking driver pool and limited hours of service legislation have all combined to eliminate the advantages that OTR transportation once had over rail intermodal and point to the inescapable fact that rail intermodal will continue to command a larger share of the shipping market.
